Repetition is when you repeat some aspect of the design throughout the entire piece.

You can repeat font, color, a particular format, etc. Repetition can unite all the parts of the design. Repeating bold font can make your eyes jump in between the bolded words. Repeat different items such as bullet points throughout every page. Repetition can make the page look more interesting and more appealing to read. Be consistent but don’t repeat the element too much or else it would become annoying.

PG.52-53

  • Used the same line at the bottom and the top (rule).
  • There is a black line at the top and bottom of the images.
  • The section headers are bolded, bigger font sizes, and are a different font from the text underneath.
  • The border space is the same.

 

Pg. 53 Challenge

  1. The titles font style stays the same, (The Non-Designer's Design Book Second Edition)
  2. The yellow boxes are consistent.
  3. Used the same colours.

 


They repeated the style and the color of the text. The images for the vidoes are the same size.
